Rams, a new film by Gary Hustwit (and featuring an original score by Brian Eno), is a documentary portrait of Dieter Rams, one of the most influential designers alive.

With a career spanning more than 50 years, Dieter Rams has left an indelible mark on the field of product design—and the world at large. He has overseen the creation of hundreds of products and influenced generations of designers, including Apple’s Jonathan Ive. So why, at 86 years old, does Rams now regret having been a product designer? Rams is a design documentary, but it’s also a rumination on consumerism, sustainability, and the future of design.

Attendees of Adobe MAX are invited to join Adobe Create for a very special (and free) presentation of Rams, on Sunday, October 14. Director Gary Hustwit (who also directed the films Helvetica and Objectified) will be at present at the screening, and we look forward to a lively and fascinating discussion. Seating is limited—register for this special screening now.
