Serbian illustrator Vladan Nikolic started drawing cartoons and comics in 1998; since then, he’s published them in magazines not only in his native Serbia but also around the world—in France, in the Netherlands, in the United States, and beyond. Two animated movies based on his comics have been made, he has had numerous individual exhibitions of his work, and his children’s cartoon series Igor the Cat, which runs in a Slovenian children’s magazine, has been made into an e-book.
Nikolic also works as an editorial illustrator while finding time for personal projects. We recently encountered some of that work on Behance, and we loved it for its bold graphical quality—so we knew we had to share.
