“I think I first got my tablet at age 13,” says Perci Chen. “Then I shifted from traditional mediums to digital. Technology makes things so much easier; you don't have to unpack all of your paints and wash all your brushes. Sometimes it almost feels like cheating.”
Tech has streamlined his creative process, but the Hamburg-based illustrator spends a ton of time figuring out how to make the most of the tools at his fingertips. HIs latest obsession? Mastering the multi-faceted Eyedropper in Adobe Fresco.
Rather than simply selecting a single color, he’s able to take complex swatches from his artworks, then apply those to Fresco’s wide range of pixel and watercolor brushes.
