Draw the head.

Subtract one shape from another to create a half circle we'll use as a head.

Draw the body and wing.

Draw a square for the body. For the wing, first draw a circle. Then, with the Pen tool, change the circle to a wing-like shape by using Option+Click to turn the left side anchor point into a corner anchor, then using Command+Click to drag the anchor point out to the side.

Add an image to the body.

Drag a honeycomb image and clip it to the body shape layer.

Finish the logo by adding type.

Add the brand name with the type tool.

Javier Garcia

San Francisco–based graphic designer Javier Garcia grew up in Mexico, where his early influences included skateboarding culture and punk and electronic music. In his work, he strives to always simplify. His process starts with taking things apart and flipping things around.

“The Beebly logo colors were inspired by images of beehive boxes that I found when I was researching the project. A lot of them are very colorful. I like how there’s different colors stacked on top of each other.”
