Capture and convey the unique elements that make a brand unforgettable using Creative Cloud
Mood boards are a great way to develop a brand and give it personality before you actually start the design process. Watch the nine short tutorial videos and discover how Creative Cloud apps and services work together to help you create the right mood for your next branding project. You can design your mood board from scratch, start with a template, or even use Behance. And at the end of this workshop, you’ll be able to spin up professional mood boards for your clients and colleagues in no time.
Let’s get started.
Introduction to brand mood boards
Chris Converse introduces the mood board workshop with a look at some inspiring examples.
Tools you’ll need to get started
Discover which Creative Cloud apps and services you can use to create your mood board, including: Adobe Stock, Capture, Behance, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
What you’ll need
Get inspired by your environment
Open Adobe Capture and learn how to grab different materials, colors, and patterns from the environment around you. Save your favorite color swatches, typography, and more to a Creative Cloud Library.
What you’ll need
Check out what’s happening on Behance
Search Behance for projects and brands like yours. Curate the artwork that inspires you then build a mood board, all inside Behance. Then share with your design team or client.
What you’ll need
Find assets on Adobe Stock
Explore Adobe Stock for images relating to your brand. Learn how to filter by color and refine your search to build a collection of images that match your overall look, then save your favorites to your Creative Cloud Library.
What you’ll need
Recolor artwork with Adobe Illustrator
Learn how to customize vectors from Adobe Stock. Open Adobe Illustrator and change the colors of your licensed image to suit your brand. Manipulate the color settings using Illustrator’s Recolor Artwork feature, then drag your final image into your Library.
What you’ll need
Adjust color in Adobe Photoshop
Learn how to create cut-outs using the object selection tool. Then, find a picture you love and adjust it to match your mood. Chris shows you how to use the Camera Raw filter to adjust the temperature, shadows, or curves in any photo.
What you’ll need
Create your mood board from a template
Download a mood board template from Adobe Stock. Customize the font, drag and drop the images from your Library, and give your client a visual representation of the mood of the project.
What you’ll need
Sharing your brand mood board
Share your mood board and collaborate with clients using Creative Cloud. Learn how to save your work as a Cloud document that you can access on a browser, or on your iPad. You can even upload a JPG to Behance, and share it as a private project.
