How to use Content Credentials (Beta) in Photoshop for NFTs

With the Content Credentials (Beta) feature, you can include an Ethereum wallet ID via Metamask with your content credentials. To add your wallet address to the feature, you need to be able to log in to your MetaMask account, which will confirm to others that you’re the one associated with the address.

After that, you can include your crypto address in your content credentials whenever you want. In NFT marketplaces, viewers and buyers can connect their address with their minted NFT as it enters the blockchain — showing proper creator attribution.

Enable Content Credentials (Beta) in Photoshop

Content Credentials is currently in beta as we continue to develop and finalize the feature. To enable it in Photoshop, go to Preferences > History & Content Credentials and check the Enable box in the Content Credentials (Beta) section of the resulting dialog box.

Verify your crypto wallet

Select your Content Credentials (Beta) icon in the panel bar, or go to Window > Content Credentials (Beta) to open the Content Credentials (Beta) panel.

Select Connect accounts, or use the Content Credentials (Beta) menu and select Manage connected accounts to visit the Connected accounts site. This is where you can log into your MetaMask account and add your crypto address. Then refresh the Connected accounts in the Content Credentials (Beta) panel and make sure the Crypto address box is selected. Learn more about how to add your crypto address.

Export your content with content credentials attached

Once you’ve enabled Content Credentials (Beta) and added your crypto address to your content credentials, continue creating and working on your content in Photoshop. The only thing left to do is include your work’s content credentials when you export it.

In the Export As window, make sure to select Attach to image in the Content Credentials (Beta) section. You can also select Preview to view how the content credentials will appear to others. When you’re ready, export your content as a JPEG or PNG. Your final image is good to go, with content credentials added.

Mint Content Credentials (Beta)-supported NFTs

Once you’ve exported your image, go to one of the participating NFT marketplaces to mint the image as an NFT. These marketplaces will be able to read and display the image’s content credentials, and connect the crypto address to the wallet ID being used to mint the NFT. If they match, the marketplace will recognize it and show it to potential buyers.
