From sketch to digital.

Cymone starts her process with an analog sketch. Her secret to creating an interesting texture is to overlay the sketch with crumpled tracing paper and snapping a photo with her phone. Then she brings the image into Photoshop and uses adjustment layers to refine contrast.

Add some flavor.

Cymone creates her signature “crunchy” look with multiple Brightness/Contrast adjustment layers to create lots of contrast. She then inverts the colors for an even more dramatic look.

“I would describe my work as being very crunchy and tactile — like you picked it up out of the dirt and dusted it off.”
