Correct the angle.

Tap the Crop button, then tap Straighten. Drag the image to center the subject in the frame and tap the checkmark when you’re done.

Start with a preset.

Tap the Presets button and scroll to the Subject: Landscape category. Tap different presets to find the one you like.

Refine the preset.

Tap the preset thumbnail, adjust the Amount slider to your liking, and tap the checkmark when you’re done. To fine-tune the look, use any of the edit settings. For example, Vanessa set the Shadows on the Light panel to +20.

Edit the landscape.

To adjust everything except the person in the photo, tap the Masking button, tap +, and choose Select Subject. Then tap the Invert Mask button to add a red overlay to show where future edits will be made.

Apply finishing touches.

Adjust settings in the Light, Color, and Effects panels. Notice how the adjustments affect the landscape, but not the model. Vanessa used the following settings:

 

• Exposure: +.35

 

• Highlights: +70

 

• Tint: +10

 

• Texture: +50
