Select the background.

Masks help you edit parts of a photo. Click the Masking icon and select Background. Lightroom finds the background and displays a red overlay to show where your edits will be made.

Change the background color.

Use the Light and Color sliders to change the background tone and color. You can edit the background anytime by clicking the mask thumbnail with the white background and using the sliders to get the look you want.

Give your subject some pop.

Click the New Mask button and choose Subject. Experiment with the sliders to make your subject stand out.

Change the mood.

Experiment with colors in both your background and subject to see the difference it makes in your scene.
